The 5 Stages of an Energy Upgrade

[00:00:00] Hello dear ones. How are we doing today? I hope you are fantastic. I have a super powerful relevant episode today about energy upgrades, and I’ve talked about this before, a lot in the last couple years, and I noticed that I hadn’t done a solo podcast episode devoted to this topic.

[00:00:22] And the reason I noticed it is because, oh, my clients are going through a big energy upgrade and I realized I didn’t have a solo episode to send them as a resource. And so I thought, you know, I need to devote and dedicate some time to unpacking this topic because so many soul guided leaders and entrepreneurs are going through an energy upgrade this year and have been you, you’ve likely been on this path for some time, but you might feel like you’re getting some boosts this year.

[00:00:58] So grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, get a notebook. And I have a feeling what I’m gonna be offering you today is what you’ve been looking for, whether you knew you needed it or not. My heart tells me that this is really gonna serve you because you are likely going through an upgrade this year.

[00:01:16] So why don’t we go ahead and get right. In today’s episode, I define exactly what an energy upgrade is and why you are likely going through one right now. And I reveal the five stages of an energy upgrade so you can know exactly what to expect and be prepared. We’ll end on an invitation that we’ll have you aligning your energy in just the right way to experience massive growth.

[00:02:43] So 2023 is a big year, and it has been really ever since 2019, we’ve been ushering in a new era of consciousness where we are growing our consciousness to higher levels than what have been on planet for a very, very, very long time. So that means we can vibrate at higher vibrations. We can, you know, understand complex spiritual.

[00:03:13] Topics at a higher level, we can understand quantum physics at a higher level. We can create deeper love, deeper hold, more joy, go into the energetics of flow. And we are evolving to start living from the heart space where our primary point of consciousness is that of the heart. And because we are energy, and energy is always in movement.

[00:03:42] And because our soul is wired for growth, Our soul is wired to always be expanding, and if we ever get stagnant or stuck at a certain level, that will often feel very bad. And we will be, we will know that that has happened because it’s gonna feel bad and we’re gonna feel out of alignment outta sorts because we are wired for growth.

[00:04:07] So while our energy is always expanding and our soul is always grow, We do reach certain points. Of our life journey where we receive bumps, up boosts, periods of accelerated and amplified growth. And that is how I define an energy upgrade. It’s like you are walking up, like if you imagine.

[00:04:34] Your growth is like walking up a long slide of stairs and every time you go to a next level, you’re going up one step to a higher level of your potential, and every once in a while on our path, you skip several steps and that is an upgrade. It’s a boost. Okay, and you’re going to experience a lot of things whilst you’re skipping those stairs it’s an accelerated upward growth cycle. Okay. And it’s likely you are experiencing one now because the collective is going through an energy upgrade. The collective experience. Is now skipping a bunch of steps. And whenever you do that, whenever you experience accelerated growth, imagine when you were a child and you were going through a growth spurt.

[00:05:38] It was uncomfortable. You had growing pains, you had difficulty sleeping, or you were sleeping all the time. You are irritable if you have kids. You’ll recognize this in your kids, right? There is always. Always, always discomfort associated with growth. It’s just, it just is because you’re going into something bigger, higher, stronger, and to get there, you have to stretch.

[00:06:09] You have to face a fear. You have to get your physical container on board, so there’s emotional discomfort, physical discomfort, energetic discomfort.

[00:06:22] And the cool part about it all is when you say yes to this experience, when you say, I’m gonna be mindful to this. I’m ready for my upgrade, I want this, and we’re gonna talk more about how we invited in in just a sec. But when you say yes to it all and you’re mindful and awake to what’s happening, and you go through the discomfort, you get rewarded just like a kid.

[00:06:53] When they get through the growth spurt, they’re taller, they’re wiser, they’re more mature, they’re more agile. They have finer motor skills. They get over the hump. If you. And that happens with our energy upgrades. We get the boost up and there’s the discomfort. Then we get over the hump and we get back on that staircase.

[00:07:16] That’s five or six or eight or 10 steps higher than where we were. So we’re looking around with more love and more abundance and more creativity and more of desires. And we are able to say, huh, that was uncomfortable. But man, I’m sure glad I did that. Boy, that was worth it because had I stayed stuck and stagnant on those lower stairs, very few things feel worse, and I promise you the discomfort you experience as you soar.

[00:07:56] Is never as bad as staying stuck on a lower step that you know is beneath your full potential.

[00:08:04] So energy upgrades are boosts up in growth, skipping stair steps as we climb up the staircase of life. It is very likely if you’re sitting here listening to me connecting to this content, you are going through one right now and there are five stages you can expect to experience, and these stages can be sequential as I’m offering to you, or it could arrive to you all at once, or it could happen backwards to what I’m offering, or it could be something a little bit different or very different.

[00:08:40] Whenever we’re talking about the spiritual realm, there’s always the other. There’s never one way, there’s never you know, the definitive answer. I think the spiritual realm speaks to us in guidelines and what you can expect to experience. And there’s always the other. [00:09:26] All right, let us get to stage number one, and that is the invitation. When your energy grows, you need help, and you’re going through a quantum leap up, so a boosted leap up and you’re skipping stairs. You are getting support and assistance with that from the spiritual realm. They’re supporting your energetic expansion and the spiritual realm is never going to come in and provide additional support and engagement unless you invited in because we are beings of free.

[00:10:11] And if something is a light being a light high consciousness vibration of love, it will not enter your energy unless you invited in. So the invitation is simple and profound at the same time. And one way that I approach the, the invitation is just simply, I invite in the expansion of my energy. And I invite in a deeper connection to the spiritual realm, and I invite in the highest vibrational consciousness of love to be part of my path and experience and supporting me along the way as I gro

[00:10:58] And I invited the biggest and highest growth possible for me at this stage in my. I figure if you’re gonna do an invitation, you might as well go all the way with it. You know, get as superlative as possible, and that means using as many best, highest, most loving, most wise, because why not?

[00:11:22] Now? Of course, if you don’t feel ready for that or if that’s just not something you want in your experience right now, because maybe you’re going through. A personal tragedy or you have a loved one who really needs you, well, maybe now is not the time to issue such a big invitation. That’s the great thing about it.

[00:11:40] You get to decide. So let your heart guide you. Your heart will guide you. Your higher self will guide you to just what the invitation could and should look like. And because you’re likely going through an energy upgrade right now, you. Invited this in a year ago, two years ago, five years ago, 10 years ago.

[00:12:04] And maybe you did it consciously. Maybe you with mindful intention, invited it in. But oftentimes our invitations are unconscious. One of the biggest examples of this was before my near death experience, and I was in a rock bottom. And I knew I needed something that was more than a human being could offer me.

[00:12:28] But this was before I had knew anything about spirituality. So even though I had this inner knowing, I didn’t really know what it meant. But looking back, I know exactly what it meant. I was looking forward, divine guidance. So in my rock bottom place, I invited and help. I invited in the spiritual realm to support.

[00:12:51] On this energetic expansion because when our energy upgrades, we connect deeper to the spiritual realm. Our energy is vibrating at higher frequencies. So we are tuned in to the high vibrations of the spiritual realm at higher and higher levels, so we can experience amplified spiritual gifts, and we can start to deepen our ability to communicate to the spiritual.

[00:13:18] So stage one, the invitation. Inviting in the spiritual realm, deeper inviting in your energetic expansion and growth, inviting in this quantum growth. And saying importantly and saying, I am ready for whatever comes next. If it’s joy and bliss, elation, and excitement, I’m ready for that. And if it’s facing fears, discomfort, growing pains, I am ready for that.

[00:13:53] I’m ready for it all. Okay. Moving on to the second stage. That is the I. At some point on your journey, you’re gonna start to feel a call, a nudge, a hint, a push to spend more time alone in your inner cave and in silence for it is in the silence that we connect to that voice of the higher self. It is in the silence where we connect to our.

[00:14:34] And we feel the connection to the spiritual realm, it is impossible to deepen this connection when we are plugged in to our everyday experience. Plugged into our computers and our phones and caring for our kids and paying our bills and doing the things that we need to do on an average day most days.

[00:15:05] That is why we get these calls to step out of the every day and into a deepened connection to ourselves. to our divine support team, to the spiritual realm. Quiet. Often we get called out into nature so we can be still hear are the messages coming through and just be in our energy with no other agenda just to be, be still.

[00:15:45] Be quiet, be relaxed, be spacious. So my invitation for you during this isolation is to just notice. Notice what you’re being nudged to. And like all of these stages have a similar theme in that sometimes when you’re in a particular stage, you’ll, you will be experiencing it very subtly.

[00:16:15] So like in the example of the isolation, you’ll be called to wake up a little bit earlier in the morning to isolate and to meditate. Or in bigger ways. Super big ways. Like always, always. If you want the big example for all of the stages, you can go to my near death experience where I got called to quit my job and travel the world with no money in my bank account and no future job prospects in sight.

[00:16:48] Which, you know, I’m a pretty type A person who likes to be able to pay my bills, so it was a very, very out of character thing that I did. But the energy upgrade was so big. And I was just so, it was, I was an overwhelming call for me to extract myself from my everyday circumstances. So your job is to notice what is true for you at this point in your experience, because you will receive in your, on your life path more than one upgrade.

[00:17:24] Some of them will be very big. Or I’m the bigger side, and some of them will be smaller and subtle. So you might be going through something smaller and subtle right now, or bigger and more uncomfortable. I would say my biggest upgrade by far was my N D E in 2009. I am being upgraded again today in 2023, but it is not nearly as uncomfortable.

[00:17:51] what I’m going  through today is it nearly as big as what I went through, you know, 14 years ago. So all that’s matter, all that matters for you is what’s true for you. So notice, just notice. How you’re feeling called to isolate and to get out of your everyday experience so that you may get quiet, get still, enter your inner cave and connect. All right. The third stage of an energy upgrade is the calibration, and this is when our energy is being calibrated to resonate at higher and higher frequencies, and this is when the spiritual realm will step in and help us. And they help to calibrate our energy.

[00:18:35] And so physical sensations that you can feel from this, and this is what some people do call the ascension flu. And I promise this is a thing and you’re not crazy and it is real. And you can feel disruption in sleep. That’s a huge one. And not just one night, but like night after night after night for a period of.

[00:18:57] It’s typically around a 3:00 AM wake up call for no apparent reason, and then you can’t go back to sleep. Now, I could talk about the 3M wake up call for very long time, but what I think I’m gonna do, because this episode would get too long, As I’m gonna record a follow on episode about why, exactly why we have these 3:00 AM wake up calls and what to do when it happens.

[00:19:25] So please stay tuned for that. So we’ve got disrupted sleep. Another symptom or characteristic of a calibration is very tired. You’re feeling very fatigued. Sometimes you. Can go, you can experience a calibration during a time where you have a lot of outer world challenges. So you have a lot of stimulation, you’re experiencing a lot of emotion, and you can almost feel like your energy is short circuiting. That can be a characteristic.

[00:19:55] This my, my, my energy’s on overload and it’s short circuiting. Another symptom of calibration is dizziness. All over the body or in concentrated areas. It can be very light, it can be very intense. A headache, a third eye headache, ringing in the ear, hairs standing up at the back of your neck. A lot of energetic vibrations all over the body.

[00:20:21] Tingling energetic tingling sensation concentrated at your crown chakra. All things you could experience during a. Or you could experience something totally different. So if you do, please let me know unlike all the stages, these physical sensations can be very subtle or they can be super intense. Okay. Moving on to the fourth stage of the five stages is the initiat. So the blocks and the wounds inside of our energy are very heavy, and because we’re upgrading, we wanna release anything that is heavy in waiting, weighing us down.

[00:21:04] So as part of an upgrade, we will be asked to confront a fear or several fears. And whenever we’re asked to confront a fear, typically there’s typically one of two things going on. Something happens in our outer world, in our circumstance that triggers fears that are inside of us. So it’s asking us to face this difficult circumstance so we can heal our fear wounds and or you just get called to do something.

[00:21:40] You get called to launch something. You get called to be someone to start being your true self. And in that calling, Triggers a bunch of wounds that are inside of you, wounds that are saying it’s not safe to be the real you or you might fail, for example. So when you get initiated, you’re being asked to have the courage to confront these wounds, confront these fears, these anxieties, the things that make you angry, the things you hide.

[00:22:18] So that you may bring your wounds to the surface, experience them and release them. And when you release them, you’re letting go of that heavy baggage so that your energy may be lighter and higher.

[00:22:38] often, but not always the. Initiation is related to the isolation. So you’re getting called to isolate in a certain way. Maybe you’re being called to go on a silent retreat somewhere, and your fear wounds are saying you cannot leave. You cannot spend that many days away. You cannot spend that kind of money on yourself.

[00:22:59] It’s selfish. You might not get a return. You might fail, but yet you’re really being called to. So the initiation would be confronting the fear of investing in yourself, knowing that it might not return to you, so that you can release that fear and get to the other side. And that gets us to the final stage, which I call the communication.

[00:23:29] But I guess you could also call the creation. So I’ve typically always called this final stage. In a way, it’s the stage like you’ve leapt up to the higher stair step and you’ve landed at that higher level, and now what do you do? It’s operating at this higher level of consciousness and potential and higher vibrational energy.

[00:23:58] Typically, I’ve called it the community. Because you’re putting it into the context of communicating with the spiritual realm and with your higher self. So when you get to the, this fifth stage, you have heightened communication. You have amplified intuitive gifts. You’re receiving clearer, more detailed, more complex communications from your divine support team.

[00:24:25] But it’s more than just. It’s also you are just operating at a higher level of your potential. So in your creation, whatever it is you’re creating for your life, for your business, for your loved one, for yourself, you’re in a higher vibrational, higher potential layer or level rather of creation.

[00:24:49] And this final stage has two aspects to it. On the one hand, yes, you’ve landed at that higher stair step, so you’re at a higher level of communication with the spiritual realm and a higher level of your ability to create. However, if you just land and don’t take any action, You’re gonna start stepping down a few stair steps, you’re gonna going back down the staircase, okay?

[00:25:24] Because yes, we are always walking up a staircase, but we do have times on our human experience where we step down a step or two before we can go start climbing back up. And that’s okay. That’s all part of it.

[00:25:39] And so what that means is when you land at the higher step, this is really the time to fortify your daily spiritual practice. So every day you’re communicating with your divine support team and you’re working that muscle that in muscle of your intuition, so that your intuition and your intuitive gifts expand and.

[00:26:06] If you just upgrade your energy and then do nothing, you are only going halfway there In terms of the upgrade. It’s like you’re only tapping into half of the upgrade. The other half is the daily practice. It’s those repetitions at the gym flexing that muscle. And the more you go to the gym and the more you flex and the more reps you work and the more weight you put.

[00:26:36] The, the exercise machines, the stronger you get, and that’s the same with your creation. If you wanna write a book and you go through an energy upgrade, and you come out the other side with all these heightened gifts and amplified awareness to your unique genius and connection to your higher self and all the things, but you don’t sit down and write a word on the page, your creativity doesn’t grow.

[00:27:04] Energetic growth, yes, needs this energy upgrade, but it also needs the repetition. Just sitting down every day, connecting to the higher self and then doing the creation you feel called the create, and it’s in that repetition, doing it over and over and over again. You really start leaping back up your staircase going to higher and higher levels.

[00:27:33] So the fifth and final stage, the communication stroke creation does happen as a part of an energy upgrade, but it must be accompanied by the inspired action that your heart is calling you to. And so as part of an energy upgrade, if you do get, say the idea for a book, it’s sitting down a few minutes, a few hours every day to work on the book and to flex your creative muscles and to flex that connection to your higher self and allow the book to flow through you.

[00:28:13] So it’s like you’re looking at a world class. Maybe a marathon runner. That marathon runner is going to have real natural running abilities. They will probably have a body that’s really designed and shaped for running, and they will be very naturally gifted in that way, however, Even if you are born with the perfect runner’s body and you don’t hit the pavement, you’re not getting out there and running every day, your natural abilities will only take you so far.

[00:28:52] And the same holds true with an energy upgrade. So on the one hand, our container is expanding, our gifts are amplifying, our energy is upgrading, and. We’re at a higher level of the staircase. We’re at a higher level of our potential. So the other piece of this puzzle is noticing what your heart is calling you to create, and who your heart is calling you to be.

[00:29:29] Because inspired action is both a state of doing and a state of. It’s not just the doing And when you bring this all together, that’s when the sparks really fly. And that’s really when you’re tapping into those bigger dreams, you’re having that.

[00:29:49] That you’re dreaming about, that you know is possible. So it’s that natural process of our energy upgrading, taken together with the day in day out practice of connecting to your higher self, convening your divine support team. And following through on the inspired action that your heart is nudging you towards.

[00:30:18] And my invitation for you this week is to notice which stage and or stages you are in right now. And you could find yourself in all five stages. And if that’s true, Aspect of the stage are you in? Like if you’re getting called to isolation, how are you being called to isolation? And is any part of you resisting that?

[00:30:43] So just spend a couple seconds, you know, take some deep breaths, go into your inner cave. And go through each of the stages with the first stage with the invitation. It’s a good idea to ask your divine support team. Is there anything else I need to invite in? Is there particular help and support from the spiritual realm I could use on my path right now?

[00:31:08] Should I invite that in? Remember? You are the director of the move your of your life, and you can invite in as much or as little as little support from the spiritual realm as you wish. So if there’s some part of your life where you need more support, invite it in. Notice how you’re getting called to isolate.

[00:31:28] If you’re getting called to isolate. Notice any calibration, any physical sensations, and you could always ask your higher. This funny thing is happening higher self. Is this part of my calibration?

[00:31:42] Also, you can ask your higher self. This challenging thing is happening. Is this part of my initiation? And just allow your higher self to help you understand your energy upgrade. And the more you understand where you are and what you’re being called to, the more you can align to this process. Lean into the ease of it, which is always available to you.

[00:32:07] And before you know what you’ll find yourself on the other side of this process in a higher, more evolved. Higher vibrational state. That will feel amazing.
