My Higher Self Gave Me This Word For 2026, And I Hated It (At First)

Ask yourself: where in my business or my life could I show and exercise a bit more restraint?

[00:00:00] Welcome to Soul Alive Radio. This is where your spiritual intelligence is amplified, your spiritual gifts are activated, and your higher self gets the mic. When you live in full energetic alignment, your current ceiling becomes your floor. It’s time to be soul alive. Hey ho, dear ones. When this episode gets released, it will be around the May timeframe, so, you know, late spring into early summer, and I’d love to check in with you on your word for 2026, if you have one.

[00:00:43] And listen, if you don’t have one, it is not too late. This is a great time to pause and reflect, what was my higher self calling me towards at the beginning of the year, and how am I doing? I once had the same word of the year three years in a row, and that word was nurture because I wasn’t nurturing myself, and so the word kept returning until I really integrated it into my experience.

[00:01:18] And you may find that can happen. I actually really like the concept of finding a word or a motto or a theme or an energy or an image or a symbol for the year or for your next cycle. I’m just now, as I’m recording this, wrapping up my launch cycle for the spring 2026 cohort of Soul Blueprint, and I, I actually don’t pick Oracle cards that much anymore because, you know, I just go straight to the divine for what I need to know.

[00:01:52] However, if you’re an Oracle card person or a tarot card or whatever, if that really serves you, please keep doing that because it’s a wonderful way to communicate and connect to your divine guidance team. Um, I’m at a point in my journey where I’m just pulling cards from time to time when my higher self pops in and says, “Pull a card from that deck.”

[00:02:13] So I was, mm, let’s say one-third into my launch cycle, and my higher self guided me to my spirit animal Oracle card deck, which is one of my personal faves. And I flipped and I flipped through the cards, and then higher self said, “That one, that one, that one.” I flipped it over and got hummingbird spirit.

[00:02:36] Now listen, I love hummingbirds, but I was a bit disappointed when it first came through. The message of the hummingbird comes in with be here now. And the message inside the book was basically saying how if a hummingbird’s not careful, it’ll flap and flap and flap its wings, you know, because it, it, it flaps his wings so many times per second that it can really tucker itself out.

[00:03:05] So when hummingbirds are in flow, they’re flying when they need to fly, resting when they need to rest, and they’re just in the now of the present moment so that they stay in the alignment of flow. And the hummingbird spirit was just calling me to be in the now of the launch. Don’t get over busy flapping my wings.

[00:03:33] Look at the sun, not directly, but feel the sun on my face. Look at the flowers, listen to the birds, be in the now, and the launch cycle will flow. And that’s really exactly what happened. I’m gonna be recording a whole podcast episode on an after action of my spring launch, so stay tuned for that. So my point is, it’s a nice thing to have a symbol or a message before you start a cycle.

[00:04:05] So if you’re not already in that practice, I invite you to go ahead and do so. So let’s get back to my word for 2026. I asked my higher self, it came through, and the word was restraint. Restraint. And my first reaction was, “No, not expiring, not exciting. This feels like punishment.” So I went back to higher self and I was like, “Dude, restraint?

[00:04:36] Like, am I in trouble for something?” And higher self was like, “No, of course not.” But I got the message that I was moving into a new phase of my business, which was more of like badass CEO. I was gonna be scaling this year and growing. So there were a lot of things and energy leaks and focal points of my business I literally couldn’t get bogged down in anymore if I indeed want to grow and scale in alignment.

[00:05:09] And in order for me to grow and scale in alignment, I needed to start exercising more restraint. Now, fast-forward four months, ’cause I’m recording this at the end of April, so we’ve just gone through four months of 2026, and I can tell you absolutely without hesitation, it’s the most powerful CEO shift I’ve ever made, because restraint Is actually a thing no one talks about when they’re chasing growth, but it’s the thing that actually creates it, and I’m gonna unpack that for you in this episode.

[00:06:01] And from this word of restraint and moving into this CEO, of course, you know, CEO is a really sort of ma-mas… Is it a masculine word? No. It’s just, it’s a corporate word, actually, and corporate kind of implies masculine energy, of course. Um, so I was trying to think of, like, how could I evolve that word or that acronym, chief executive officer, into something more soulful?

[00:06:28] ‘Cause, you know I love to throw the word soul in absolutely everything I do. Soul EO, that could work. My badass soul EO checklist. It’s not rolling off my tongue, but let’s go with that for now until I find a better way to say CEO. So you use whatever aligns more for you, but here was the badass CEO, soul EO checklist that had, has really arrived to me since adopting my word of 2026, restraint.

[00:07:06] First, I really started to trust my higher self even more. I don’t have time in this energy to second-guess, to mull over things. So it really requires a deeper surrender. When higher self calls you to something, you trust it, you move out, you don’t look back, unless new information presents itself, new feedback, and you can ask the question again with more knowledge about whatever it is you’re looking at.

[00:07:45] But trusting myself more also meant believing in myself more, and I think that’s embedded inside a deeper surrender trust into higher self. You’re actually believing you can surrender because you believe in yourself, and you believe no matter where or how or why your higher self is guiding you, you’re gonna land on your feet, and it’s all gonna be A-okay.

[00:08:13] At the same time, in my client sessions and classes, I could feel my gifts expanding because that’s the energy of 2026, and it’s only gonna accelerate more. Our spiritual gifts, our consciousness as human beings is expanding. It’s getting more powerful. And as I was trusting myself more, trusting my connection to higher self more, I was also owning- more the value I created in the world through these expanded spiritual gifts.

[00:08:52] My next point on my checklist is gonna be met, I imagine, with some resistance for listeners who are very right arrowed in their human design, very in flow, don’t like systems, structures, routines. A lot of my clients, more spiritually inclined folks, don’t like to look at real numbers. And if you take any sort of 3D sales and marketing class, they’re gonna have you immediately start tracking numbers, and it’s gonna be all about numbers, numbers, numbers.

[00:09:33] Well, I have three left arrows. I happen to really love numbers. I was never, like, wanted to pursue math, but I w- I was always good at math. And I actually really find satisfaction at looking at the numbers of my business. I’m a projector. My signature is success. And looking at numbers and knowing the numbers of my business, especially when they reflect what I want them to reflect, enables me to feel my signature of success.

[00:10:10] But I can really tell you, as someone who is a lover of numbers, the more I started to track my numbers, the more the numbers started to show up in terms of revenue, signups, followers, visibility. So you have to meet yourself on this one where you are. If you hate tracking numbers, start simple. I would say the best way to start, for example, if you do discovery calls At least start with the number of discovery calls you do in a month, and that’s super easy to track.

[00:10:52] I do this on an Google Sheets. It’s very simple. How many discovery calls do you do in a month? And of those discovery calls, how many convert into clients? I mean, ideally, that number is around fifty percent, but if you’re on the beginning side of your journey, you can be also happy with twenty percent. If you’re really just getting started, ten percent is great.

[00:11:15] But if you’ve been at this for a while and your number is much below fifty percent, that’s valuable feedback that something needs to shift. There’s some energy leaks going around. Either you’re filtering in not the most ideal person into this discovery call, the discovery call itself wants to shift, there’s something in the follow-up.

[00:11:42] So the numbers can guide you to what wants to be made better. It’s just feedback. So you can hone in on the energy leak and then get those conversion rates much higher, and then the end result of all that is more clients, which is what you want. So you wanna look at what’s actually working in your business.

[00:12:08] And listen, that’s a real theme of the energy we’re in right now. From an astrological perspective and a human design perspective, we’re in the energy of carving out the time to look at what is working. And if you have the thought, “Well, I don’t know what’s working in my business. Nothing’s working in my business,” I promise you there’s something.

[00:12:33] But it’s likely you’re making the metric of success too large. Look at the subtle things that are working, even the tiniest thing that worked. Somebody wrote a nice comment to one of your social posts. That’s a crumb that something is working. Okay? How can you build on what is working, and how can you let go or tweak and refine the things in your business that aren’t?

[00:13:04] Listen I just totally upleveled my tracking of numbers for this past launch, and it’s the best launch I’ve ever done. I’ve been at business for a long time, and I like numbers. So if that feels not great for you, please, please, you don’t have to be where I am. Start where you are. Make it simple and make it aligned.

[00:13:29] If it feels horrible in your body, you might have a block that’s ready to be released, or you’re making it too difficult. Start with an easeful place to start tracking your numbers and just grow and expand those number trackings over time and in a way that feels aligned. All right, moving on to point three.

[00:13:51] This is a huge one, and I would again say especially for light workers. I started to say no to shiny distractions. Not every good idea is meant to be pursued. And for you generators and manifesting generators and folks with an open head or ajna, you especially have an endless supply of ideas and inspiration, and you are multi-passionate.

[00:14:25] That’s beautiful. That’s what makes you such an alluring, amazing person. However, you nor I nor anyone is meant to chase all of those ideas and inspiration down. So not every good idea gets a yes. The trick to being in this restraint and this badass soul EO energy, okay, that’s starting to flow a bit more, is to stay focused on what actually moves the business.

[00:14:59] That’s so important, and it’s really truly such a theme of the energy we’re in today collectively. It’s a real energy of innovation, and if you’re innovating, you can’t keep grinding away on the stuff that doesn’t work. You get the lessons from the things that don’t work, you apply it again, and then you focus on what actually makes the business move forward.

[00:15:26] Huge, huge lesson for me, and I already knew this, but man, when I really started to track the numbers, numbers don’t lie. I was actually kind of shocked by how little of a return I’ve been getting on my Facebook ads. I thought it was higher, and I had been tracking like, you know- my return on my investment in my Facebook ads, but I did a few tweaks and refines, and I tracked it a little bit more closer and more accurately, and it actually wasn’t at all that hard to do.

[00:16:00] I just had to set a few things up, and it was all done automatically. And I was like, “Wow, it is not worth it for me to be running ads right now.” So I have shut my ads off for a while. I’ll probably turn them back on again, um, in this world of experimenting and, uh, focusing in on what works. But right now, ads are not working for me.

[00:16:27] If they’re working for you, double down on them because we’re focusing on what’s actually moving your business. So if your ads are converting for you, maybe you wanna put some more resources into it. The thing that worked for me overwhelming, overwhelming, overwhelming in this last launch was partnerships.

[00:16:46] Now, this is no surprise because in twenty twenty-seven, we are officially moving into the incarnation cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, and a huge theme of Sleeping Phoenix is soul-aligned partnerships. So yes, on the one hand, the Sleeping Phoenix Gates is all individual circuitry, which is kind of a lone wolf circuitry.

[00:17:14] But on the other hand, one of the gates of the Sleeping Phoenix is the Gate fifty-nine, which is about crafting partnerships and relationships that sustain you and the foundation of your lives. So I was really able to call in some soul-aligned partnerships for this last launch, and that was really the thing that fueled the whole experience.

[00:17:44] So saying no to shiny distractions is an absolute game changer to really getting into the flow and growing your business in a way that feels good, and that does require, friends, restraint. Moving to point four, I really committed fully. There was no half in energy, and I wasn’t pivoting. I came up with the plan for the launch and really for the first, you know, quarter of the year into the second quarter, and I was like, “This is what I’m gonna do.”

[00:18:20] And to be honest, my first quarter of the year wasn’t great. I was redoing my lead opt-in I redid my whole, um, email automation series, and that just took a lot of time. And you know what? That lead opt-in didn’t do so great, but I didn’t beat myself up. I didn’t care. I was like, “All right, this is feedback.”

[00:18:44] But th-this lead opt-in that I did early in the year sparked the idea for my next lead opt-in, which I’m really excited about, and you’re gonna love it, and I will be announcing it shortly. But without that first lead opt-in that I was working on that didn’t really gain traction, I don’t think I would have got to this next idea, which I am so excited about.

[00:19:09] It is a human design-themed opt-in, just to tease it a little bit, but it also incorporates really powerful elements of soul blueprint. You may heard me say in the past that human design provides an excellent map, but soul blueprint is the operating system. It’s the navigational system of our map, and I’m in the process now of creating an amazing resource for you that brings those two things together almost instantaneously for your unique energy.

[00:19:43] How cool is that? So stay tuned for more. So getting back to committing fully, I committed fully to that first lead opt-in, even when I saw it wasn’t making traction. But then I said, “All right, I am gonna pivot this thing, but let me, before I pivot it, I have a whole– my spring launch ahead, so let me go all in and focus on the spring launch.”

[00:20:08] And then when that gets wrapped up, now I’m moving back into refining my lead opt-in to be something that I think is gonna gain a lot of traction. So I chose a direction, and I held it, and that also exercised a lot of restraint and in the best possible way. Lastly, point five of our checklist, I stopped over-giving and over-explaining.

[00:20:40] I’m a projector. We have a tendency to over-give. I have an open throat center. We have a tendency to over-explain. I have an open emotional solar plexus. We have an– a tendency to people-please to avoid conflict. So this all creates a lot of energy leak in the business if I’m not careful. So I really, as part of this restraint, didn’t pour energy into where it wasn’t matched.

[00:21:12] So that means I didn’t overgive. And this is something I’ve really cleaned up on as I’ve gotten to know my Gate 24 Conscious Sun Gate, where I don’t have to over teach to prove value. And that was something that I’ve done in the past. When in shadow, I would over teach and overexplain because I was worried people wouldn’t get it.

[00:21:37] They wouldn’t understand me. But Gate 24 energy isn’t about telling you what you need to know, although I offer insights that help you to actually arrive. It’s an energy of arrival. And when you’re in my presence, receiving from me, Gate 24 asks me to take pauses. Maybe do some deep breathing with me right now, and allow people to arrive at their own answers in the pauses, in the space.

[00:22:21] And I needed to trust that I didn’t need to over teach and that you would receive what you needed to receive from me. And fewer words actually served you on a deeper level. So this word, which I didn’t like at first, restraint, has been a game changer and has really taught me so much in my business that is truly enabling it to go to the next level of growing and scaling.

[00:23:00] Quick recap. I trusted my higher self. I ran real numbers. I said no to shiny distractions. I committed fully, and I stopped overgiving and overexplaining. My invitation for you this week is to ask yourself a different question. Where in my business or my life could I show and exercise a bit more restraint?

[00:23:33] That just might be the move that shifts you into real Soul EO energy. Consider your own checklist of things where you’ve noticed in the past where you’ve had energy leaks. [00:24:03] If you haven’t checked those episodes out, I recommend you do so. That will actually really help you with this. And just see what arrives. Allow yourself time and space to tweak and f- refine things over time. You don’t have to fix everything overnight. And you’ll find with just a little bit added attention to your restraint, to patching up your energy leaks, your business will start moving in and shifting into that direction of aligned momentum, so you start just receiving more revenue, more clients, more visibility from that juicy place of alignment.
