Identity and Will: Why You’re Undercharging and Struggling to Build Client Trust

I am so excited to be continuing on in our four part series where we’re exploring the hidden energy leaks in your business through your human design energy centers.

[00:00:37] Last week we explored head. And throat, and if you missed those, you will find them in the show notes. This week we’re going into identity and will centers the two different heart centers. Sometimes the identity center is called the G Center and sometimes the will center is called the Ego or the heart Center.

[00:01:01] And these two centers, the identity and the will can uncover why you may be undercharging or struggling to build client trust. And when that’s happening in even subtle ways, you usually can find out what’s really going on by looking at the identity or the will center. So starting with the identity center, this is your center for love, direction, and sense of self.

[00:01:31] It governs who you are and where you’re going. So if you have this defined, that means it’s colored in on your chart. And let me pause there and say something very exciting. So when you run your chart and you see that your identity center is colored in, that means you have definition, and that means your energy and your frequency of these particular themes of any center that we’re talking about, if it’s defined, comes from within.

[00:02:42] If you have it open. That means it will be uncolored on your chart or white, and that means you take your cues from your environment, from the people around you. So getting to a defined identity center, you will likely have a consistent sense of identity and direction. You naturally radiate who you are and people feel that steadiness.

[00:03:06] With openness. Remember, these are the centers where we tend to be subject to conditioning. We tend to be more prone to show up in low expression. Um, but this is also where we’re here to become wise and we’re here to. Amplify this energy in others. So when we go into high expression of our open centers, we go super high.

[00:03:31] So it’s like I said, no parts of the chart are good. No chart. Parts of the chart are bad. It all just is so open expression of this particular center, the identity center. Your sense of identity is fluid and shaped by your environment. You may question your lovability direction or who you are, and that’s where that conditioning comes in, where this may be leaking in your business.

[00:03:59] If you have definition here, you can stay attached to an old identity or direction that no longer fits. You can resist. Evolving your brand or messaging, and you can keep showing up in a way that feels familiar but is no longer true. The result is stagnation and a disconnect with your audience. I have definition here, and I could say that this was probably where I was a few years ago in my business.

[00:04:29] Where I just was doing what I always did, and then it just kind of stopped working, and then I was like, huh, I’m kind of attached to this old way of doing, but this old way of doing isn’t working anymore. So I did some healing around that and started to step into high expression, patched up my leaks, and that’s when things started to build momentum again.

[00:04:55] Remember this first part is about diagnostics, identifying where there may be a leak, and if there’s not great, that means you’ve done your work and you’re in high expression. And if there is a leak, which is normal because that’s what we’re here to do, to heal and learn and evolve so we can identify the problem set and go into the solution.

[00:05:18] All right. If you have an open identity, you may question if you are lovable enough or the right person to be seen in your business. You can feel unsure about your direction and change paths. Frequently, you try to define who you are instead of allowing it to emerge. This result in inconsistent messaging and potentially a lack of trust.

[00:05:43] So let’s turn it all around. If you have a defined identity, allow your identity and a direction to evolve as you grow. Trust when you are being pulled in a new direction and let your business reflect who you are, not who you were. And I can say that I’ve done this in my business and it has led to a lot of amazing momentum.

[00:06:10] With an open identity, you wanna stop trying to lock in a fixed identity focused on being in the right environments with the right people. Super important for an open identity. Let your direction reveal itself through what. Feels aligned. Your power is not in defining who you are, but in experiencing who you are, so powerful.

[00:06:36] Let’s move to the Will Center, often called the Ego or the Heart. The Will Center is your center for self-worth, value, and resources. It governs money, commitment, and what you believe you are worth. So you can see how pricing comes in here. If you have a defined will center. You have consistent access to willpower and a stable sense of value.

[00:07:03] You can commit and follow through when something truly matters to you. If you have open. Your sense of worth can be inconsistent. You may question your value or feel pressure to prove yourself. So there’s a lot of proving energy in this center, especially if it’s open where this may leak into your business.

[00:07:27] With definition, you may over commit. And push yourself to prove your value. Overworking in burnout are a big issue for a defined will, and especially if you have an open sacral and you’re a manifester projector or reflector with a defined will, which I am, you have to really watch this. Because you can rely on willpower instead of alignment to drive results.

[00:07:54] And this leads to big old burnout. You can tie your worth to how much you produce or achieve. And this again leads to burnout and building a business that feels heavy if you have an open will. You may question your value and move into proving energy to feel worthy. This can push you into overgiving, overdelivering overworking to earn validation so you hesitate to fully own your prices or put yourself out there.

[00:08:26] The result is undercharging inconsistent income and missed clients. All right, let’s turn it all around. What to do to patch up your leaks with a defined will. Be selective with what you commit to. Let your worth be inherent, not something you prove through effort. Use your willpower in short line bursts instead of constantly pushing.

[00:08:54] Give yourself permission to rest a lot. This is very important for defined will center. Give yourself permission to rest a lot, and always checking that you’re not overdoing if you have an open will. Stop trying to prove your worth through overgiving. Just start by just asking the question, am I trying to prove my worth through overgiving?

[00:09:20] You also wanna set prices and boundaries from self respect, not validation, not pleasing others. Take action before you feel fully confident and let your results build your sense of worth. My invitation for you this week is to notice where your identity and your sense of worth are driving your business decisions.

[00:09:45] Where are you changing instead of standing and who you truly are? Where are you questioning your value instead of owning it? Where are you overgiving or undercharging to feel worthy? Pick one place where this is happening and let’s shift it. Let’s patch up that energy leak. Show up as who you are today, not who you think you should be.

[00:10:13] Make one decision from a place of alignment and not doubt and hold your value without needing to prove it. Let this be the week where your identity feels clear and your worth feels steady.
