What if the problem isn’t social media itself? How much energy have you spent trying to force yourself into marketing strategies that feel terrible—and what might become possible if visibility actually felt aligned?
So many soul-guided entrepreneurs assume they need to follow every trend, show up on every platform, and market their business the way everyone else seems to be doing it. But when visibility feels forced, exhausting, or deeply out of alignment, consistency becomes almost impossible.
In this episode of Soul Alive Radio, I explore how to create a social media strategy that works with your energy instead of against it. Because the goal isn’t to become someone else online—it’s to discover how your authentic voice is meant to be seen, heard, and felt.
You’ll discover:
- How to determine whether a platform is truly aligned for you before investing more time and energy into it
- Why you’re likely making content creation harder than it needs to be—and simple ways to create more ease and consistency
- How to adapt social media trends to fit your authentic voice instead of forcing yourself into strategies that feel misaligned

This Week’s Invitation
Stop forcing yourself into visibility strategies that feel deeply misaligned, and instead ask, “What would my social media strategy look like if I showed up consistently in alignment and authenticity?”
[00:00:00] Welcome to Soul Alive Radio. This is where your spiritual intelligence is amplified, your spiritual gifts are activated, and your higher self gets the mic. When you live in full energetic alignment, your current ceiling becomes your floor. It’s time to be soul alive Hey, dear ones, I just wanna take a minute to say I love you, and I love connecting to you through this podcast.
[00:00:31] If you love podcasting or even kind of like them from time to time, then you and I are in sync. I love listening to podcasts. I love audio-only. Yes, I also like videos, but don’t you just love going on a walk and putting in a great podcast like Soul Alive Radio and just walking and listening and being inspired and learning something new?
[00:00:59] I love that. I love showing up here. I love the long-form audio-only, as well as long-form written content. These are the ways that I love to communicate with my audience. Podcast, emails. I’m very, very consistent in my podcast and my emails ’cause I love to do it. I am inconsistent in my social media because I don’t really love to consume social media.
[00:01:30] I don’t love to doom scroll. If I am, I always feel really bad after I’ve done it. I don’t think it’s good for the brain. I don’t think it’s good for the nervous system. If it’s something you find joy in, I want to know how you do it because I just, I, I, I struggle with it myself, but at the same time, this is the trends, man.
[00:02:00] The… You know, if you look at my three kids, all they wanna do is watch short videos on TikTok, YouTube, you know, name your platform. So what happens when you like to show up a certain way in your business and you feel authentic showing up that way, but you feel like it’s going against the latest social media trends, but the latest social media trends feel terrible?
[00:02:31] And I think a lot of soul-guided entrepreneurs try to force themselves into marketing styles that don’t actually fit for them, and the answer is not to just push through, but sometimes we need to start with the question, do I even need to show up here? And I think some of the, the clients I’ve been working with don’t really pause and ask that question long enough.
[00:03:06] I think we move straight into the assumption that if I don’t show up here, where there seems to be a lot of activity going on, I will lose out. I will lose clients. But then if it feels bad in the body to show up there, it’s highly likely you’re not, or you’re not doing it consistently, or it feels bad, and then that ultimately doesn’t lead you to success.
[00:03:31] So how can we show up in our business in a way that feels good, that does give a nod to some trends, aligns to trends, but not in a way that’s just forcing you to be in a place that just doesn’t feel good? And that’s what we’re gonna be unpacking in today’s very timely episode of Soul Alive Radio. So I invite you to begin questioning the assumption that you need to be somewhere in your business that doesn’t feel good to you, and just start by taking some deep breaths, pivoting your awareness down, connecting to the heart space, and ask, “Do I actually need to be here?
[00:04:20] Do I actually need to be on Instagram, on Threads, on Snapchat, on TikTok?” Now, I have just a hard time showing up on Instagram consistently with reels, even though I actually don’t mind recording reels. I really don’t. I think I get flubbed up on, like, background and audio and sound. I make it too hard for myself, which we’re gonna be talking about more in a minute here.
[00:04:52] But I overthink it, so I just don’t show up consistently. But when I ask that question of myself, I get a real yes, like higher self is calling me to be here. So then you don’t wanna just be there, and I think it’s a real trap we can get into as business owners is just showing up in a place, but not getting any traction and then not changing things up and testing new things and questioning assumptions, and then we just keep getting the same results over and over again.
[00:05:35] So I am getting a higher self yes to show up on Instagram consistently, but I’m not, so what do I need to do next? Well then, if you’re getting that higher self yes, show up here, the next question becomes: how can I make it easier for myself? How can I set myself up for success? Because I believe very often when we’re feeling stuck In any place of our business, it’s in part because we’re making it too difficult for ourselves.
[00:06:17] We’re making the perfect the enemy of the good. We know what it could look like, but it feels a little overwhelming to get all the bells and whistles figured out, but we want it to be perfect, so instead of getting to the 80% solution today, we just are stuck in place because we can’t yet arrive to the 100% solution.
[00:06:41] So if I ask that question to myself, “How can I make Instagram reels easier?” And then I’m just getting, have a day of the week dedicated for reels, and record like four of them in a row, batch them. Okay, so this is kind of efficiency tactics 101, batching our tasks, right? So batch my reels in batches of four.
[00:07:11] So, you know, let’s say they’re two to three minutes each, that’s like 10 minutes of reels. That’s not so hard. And then hand them over to Callie. Callie is my online business manager, and then she takes them, and I should have her edit them. I think that’s where I’m getting flubbed up. I was thinking I needed to edit them, and then that just adds another layer of complication.
[00:07:33] Even though I’m very good at video editing, it’s just not something… Even though I’m good at it, I don’t really want to do it. So I think that’s where I was getting stuck. So if you can notice in my process here, I’m reflecting on my average experience trying to be consistent and noticing exactly where I get stuck.
[00:07:57] It wasn’t getting stuck recording. That’s easy. I usually have a lot to say, and like I said, I like recording reels. But then it was, what happens right after I record? That’s where I seem to get stuck. How can I make that easier for myself? Hand it over to Callie. And I need to let go of the control freak inside of me that needs to make sure it’s all perfect.
[00:08:28] Just tell Callie exactly how I want everything to look, and then she can edit, add the captions, and schedule. Easy peasy. So all I need to do to have four reels, and even if I was just doing one reel a week, that’s a month worth of content, is to carve out about 10 minutes to shoot some reels. That feels really easy.
[00:08:55] That feels very doable. So- Questioning the assumption, do I actually need to be here? And then if you get a yes, noticing where you typically get stuck on that particular platform, and then asking, how can I make it easier? The next point to move into is how can I make social media more authentically me?
[00:09:27] Because I think that’s when social media starts to feel bad, when we feel like we have to show up in a way that is not authentic. And I believe when we’re looking at social media trends And we’re seeing what’s working. I think very often those trends actually don’t feel authentic to us, so that can make us feel stuck, and that can lead us to believe in order for me to take advantage of this trend that might push my content out to more people, I have to do what everyone else is doing.
[00:10:07] And that is often indeed not the case. One of the trends that I’ve noticed working on Instagram is, like, angry reels and angry carousels kind of calling out the patriarchy and calling out the injustice, and that is great. I’m not saying if you’re angry and calling out injustice on social media, that is bad.
[00:10:33] I am saying that that is not me. That is just not how I authentically wanna show up on social media. So what could I do instead? I feel like my role, which is a variation of this… Okay, we’re seeing injustices in the world, and we wanna call it out, and we should be calling out injustice. And in fact, I have a lot of fighting injustice as part of my energy, as part of my human design, so this is actually an important thing for me.
[00:11:08] But I don’t like to be angry on social media or my podcast or anywhere because anger is a very low vibrational emotion. And I get it. Sometimes we gotta get mad, and we gotta call it out to get people’s attention. Yes, and people do that, and there’s lots and lots of people doing that. But what if that’s just not me?
[00:11:29] What if that’s not my role to play in this? And I feel like my role to play in this is more high vibrational, and when you get into those higher vibrational frequencies, you find more powerful solutions to the injustice. And my role is to help us get a vision of what Earth looks like when we don’t have injustice.
[00:11:58] What is the vision we’re going for? We know what we don’t like, which is happening now, and people are calling that out. And for some people, that feels authentic to them, and I’m glad they’re doing that. But we all have different roles to play. We can’t all be angry on social media. Imagine what social media would be like if everyone’s just pissed off.
[00:12:21] We all have our unique energy and perspective to plug in. So if there’s a group of us that has the intention to overcome injustice and use social media as a tool to do that. Some people come in angry, calling out the injustice, and then some people come in saying, “Here’s how everybody wins when there is justice, when we treat each other with respect, when we recognize all people have the right to equality of opportunity, when we don’t see each other as less than because they look different, sound different, believe different.”
[00:13:10] What happens when we hold the vision of a world that’s based on justice, on fairness, on equality? What would that feel like? How can we all benefit? Everybody wins when that happens. So my calling, when I wanna show up authentically on social media and to call out injustice, what feels authentically me is something of love and high vibration.
[00:13:44] It’s not rainbows and unicorns. It’s not sticking my head in the sand. It’s not spiritual bypassing. It’s holding a vision of where we want to go. I believe there’s not enough people doing that because this is how we collectively manifest. If we’re all focused on the low vibrational anger of what’s happening right now that we don’t like, we collectively manifest more outcomes of that low frequency, of more perpetuation really of the current systems that are unjust right now.
[00:14:26] But if we use a little bit of calling out to get people’s attention and then move into what is the solution What is the vision for fair and just systems? And we start talking about those visions, holding the frequencies of those visions, being in the energy of those visions. This is how we start to manifest, and this is how we use social media to help the collective consciousness actually evolve higher instead of dragging it down lower.
[00:15:05] And this is why we need light workers on social media. We need you on social media finding your authentic voice. What are you here to share? ‘Cause we all have a different tile in the mosaic that we create, and when we show up, each and every one of us in our own authentic way, we create the most beautiful, aligned, congruent picture that we can.
[00:15:39] So how can we get to that place of showing up more authentically? How can you make it feel more like you? And that’s a question to ask yourself. How can I make this platform feel more like me? So my higher self called me to Instagram. I wasn’t really feeling it. I didn’t really like some of the anger I was seeing because it wasn’t me.
[00:16:10] It’s just not how I feel called to show up. But then I asked that question, “How can I make this feel more like me?” And I got the guidance to be in the higher vibrations and hold the visions for what it is possible, what we wanna be working for Another super powerful question to ask is, who can I partner with?
[00:16:38] This is Sleeping Phoenix era energy that we’re moving into officially in 2027, and it’s about forging soul-aligned partnerships because we’re not here to be experts on all things. So if there’s an aspect of social media that doesn’t feel good to you, who could you partner with or who could you hire to help you?
[00:17:05] And you don’t always have to spend money. You can find partners to do trades with. Ask your higher self for guidance on how you could find the right soul-aligned partner for you. And then certainly you wanna ask, how can I repurpose some of my content? Because, you know, social media content is never about one and done.
[00:17:28] It’s about taking one concept, one idea, and repurposing it again and again and again so you get as much traction out of your social media content as you can. And this is how you can be more productive and still stay in a natural flow And certainly you wanna ask, how can I make it more fun and less performative?
[00:17:57] So less I’m forcing myself to go through these motions, I’m forcing myself to follow trends that feel bad for me. Instead, how can I make this not only more authentically me, but more fun? And the last point I’ll offer on this is to really treat it like a big experiment. I have the channel 28/38 defined, and that’s the channel of struggle.
[00:18:24] And what it really should be called is the channel of experimentation. So I naturally attract struggle in my life. And when you’re in low expression of this channel, it really sucks, let me tell you. But when you move into high expression of it, which I over the years have done more or less, it is an exhilarating channel because it’s about turning all of your struggles into experiments.
[00:18:51] And how can I heal from this? How can I learn from this? What am I meant to pass on to others? So when you treat your social media strategy and the way you show up as one big experiment, and that’s really what it literally is. So I’m talking figuratively, yes, but it’s also a literal experiment because social media is just the process of testing, testing, testing, trying, trying, trying new things, noticing what’s getting traction and what isn’t, reconfigurinG things, tweaking and refining, and putting it out again.
[00:19:32] If you go to the most sophisticated social media content producers in the world, that’s what they do on the daily. And a lot of their content doesn’t take off right away. But because they take the time to put it out there, notice what works, let go of what’s not working, and focus on what flows, so what is working, and doubling down on that, that’s how they get their stuff to take off, and is no different for us.
[00:20:00] So you wanna treat your social media strategy as that sort of figurative experiment of like, all right, how could I make this fun? What could I try? How can I be more curious? What are platforms I might wanna be on, but I’m not sure, so I could just tip my toes and test the waters? But then also from a literal sense, it’s really important to take the time to notice what is working and what is not working.
[00:20:31] And I’ve seen in my own life, a lot of my clients, we can just get trapped in the schedule. And while this is what I do, I do one of this piece of content per week, and I put it out, and this is what I do, but it’s not gaining any traction, and we’re not doing anything to tweak and refine to try to make it better.
[00:20:49] So we just need to spend a couple minutes each weeks noticing what’s working and noticing what’s feeling good. What’s the content that felt exhilarating to create? What was getting traction? And how can you focus more on what is flowing? And when you focus on what flows, and you focus on what’s feeling good for you, and what’s authentic, and how can you take a social media trend and not just throw it out if it doesn’t feel good, but how can you make it work for you and your unique energy?
[00:21:27] This is when you can start changing your whole relationship, and in a way that actually starts to call in new leads, and those new leads start to convert into real paying aligned clients. My invitation for you this week is to stop forcing yourself into visibility strategies that feel deeply misaligned, and instead ask, “What would my social media strategy look like if I showed up consistently in alignment and authenticity?
[00:22:09] And how can I take some of the things that I’m seeing working on the internet, how can I make it work uniquely and authentically for me?” That’s a wrap for this week. I appreciate you each and every week. Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for the support. Thank you for sticking with the podcast as a platform.
[00:22:35] My intuition tells me it’s gonna be sticking around, so don’t give up on the podcast if you’re considering starting a podcast or you already have one, because I think it’s got some staying power. And as always, until next time, may you be soul alive. If this episode stirred something deeper, you’ll find a link to book a Soul Blueprint Connection Call in the show notes.
